12 Hour Paediatric First Aid meeting OFSTED requirements


This course has been developed for those who are working with children or babies.


It will be of particular interest to Nursery workers, Teachers, Child Minders, Crèche Assistants, Playgroup personnel, Pre School staff and anyone responsible for youth organisations. It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and/or babies, who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid.


In addition to the topics covered on the basic course, many other childhood illnesses are included.


This course fully satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and OFSTED


 A twelve hour course consisting of theory and practical work. This course can be completed as 100% class room based, or blended where 1 day is completed through online training and day 2 spent in the class room.

  •     Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  •     Infantile convulsion
  •     Control of bleeding and shock
  •     Bites and stings
  •     Eye injuries
  •     Sickle cell anaemia

  •     Head injuries
  •     Diabetes
  •     Foreign bodies
  •     Anaphylaxis
  •     Epilepsy
  •     Heat and Cold
  •     Electrical injuries
  •     Fainting
  •     Choking
  •     Fractures
  •     Meningitis
  •     Burns
  •     Poisons
  •     Asthma


Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual throughout the course. This qualification is valid for three years.
