Our Mental Health in the Workplace Level 1 courses in Essex, are aimed at individuals and businesses who want to make a positive impact on the Mental Health of employees in the workplace, as well as understanding their own wellbeing.
Employers may wish to put their hole workforce through the Level 1 Mental Health in the Workplace training, to ensure maximum benfit to their employees, and we are able to offer group and on site options including AM and PM sessions. The Level 1 course will give a basic awareness to delegates, and can supplement superviers and managers who may complete the Level 2 or Level 3 training where they will gain a far greater depth of knowledge on the types of Mental Health conditions that employees could experience, recognising the signs of these conditions, as well as how to initiate conversations, or react to disclosures from people experiencing Mental ill Health.
The course involves group discussion and interaction, including the ability to share and disclose personal experiences if delegates wish to do so, because of this our courses are run in a safe, welcoming, non judgmental and confidential manner.

Suitable for any place of work and industry including offices, education facilities, construction sites, factories and warehouses. This course will provide deleagtes with a basic knowledge about Mental Health, the types of conditions colleagues or themselves courld experiece and where to sign post in the event of somebody experiencing Mental ill Health.

The course is 3 hours in duration and for large groups we can run an AM and PM session.

- Understand the difference between mental health and mental ill health
- Describe the components of mental well-being and how it relates to resilience
- Understand how risk factors associated with mental ill health can lead to problems in the workplace
- Be able to recognise how mental health conditions can affect day-to-day living
- Understand how social and cultural attitudes can lead to metal illness
- Understanding causes of stress and knowing how stress can stem from influences resulting from work
- Be able to understand the different types of mental health
- Understand why mental health is not discussed at work
- Be able to recognise other types of legislation that applies to Mental Health UK
- Be able to understand the Management Standards Approach
- Understanding the problems in the workplace as a result of unidentified mental health
- Be able to implement an action plan to promote a healthy workplace

AssessmentList Item 4
A mutliple choice exam is completed at the end of the course which can be completed digitally on a smart phone , tablet or laptop or in paper format.

Certification
Upon successful completion, delegates recieve a certificate valid for 3 years from the date of the training.
